Chapter 1[]
Pearl padded through the dark wet forest, large drops of cold rain splattered on her flat face, but she was not alone. Her best friend Snap walked beside her. The moon blazed high in the sky, it would soon be moonhigh. Pearl and Snap were coming home from a late hunting trip. Pearl had a small squirrel clamped between her jaws while Snap was empty pawed, again. Snap was so lazy these days so she barely caught anything. This making the whole Bloodclan camp angry. Snap was Scourge`s mate, though.
Snap still looked nervous. "I don't think Scourge is going to be pleased!" She muttered as they scampered across the Thunderpath. Soon Pearl and Snap reached Bloodclan camp. Pearl pushed her way throught the broken wood and shuffled into the warmest spot in the camp. Scourge appeared moments later.
His eyes flashed with firey anger as he spotted Snap with no food in her jaws. Pearl felt a bolt of fear rush through her. Snap looked around nervously while Scourge eyed her like she was a piece of fresh-kill. His face had an evil smirk to it.
