Gorgepaw lives in DesertClan. His friend and his crush, Steeppaw, has the most obivious love interest in the deputy, Firestorm. Gorgepaw loves his friend very much and gets jealous when she hangs around Firestorm.
Gorgepaw takes Steeppaw hunting and he tells her that he loves her, but Steeppaw refuses, saying that she loved Firestorm. A broken hearted Gorgepaw runs off alone.
